What this position is all about:

The Project Manager - Inventory Management takes ownership and leads the implementation of projects and initiatives within the Demand Planning function. S/he will partner with cross-functional groups/teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities for evolving our Planning function to its desired state. The individual will be responsible for creating a project charter, planning & executing projects and initiatives defined by the Planning Leadership team, and opportunities that may have been identified during the execution of ongoing operational tasks. In addition, the individual will work with senior-level stakeholders across the function to create visibility into the health of ongoing projects and initiatives.

Who you are:

  • Strong working knowledge of the Demand Planning and Assortment function with a Retail organization
  • Understanding of the overall retail merchandise workflow (from budgets to assortment planning, buying and merchandising to inventory management functions)
  • Strong project management and execution skills, driving ownership and accountability within teams
  • Ability to independently navigate a highly matrixed organization and bring stakeholders to the table
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills to present /liaise with all levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically and to communicate effectively, both formally & informally
  • You're comfortable working in a fast & dynamic, constantly evolving organization

You also have:

  • Key skills: Project/program management, Inventory Management
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Management Information Systems or any Project related field.
  • Overall 7-9 years experience in either Demand Planning or Project Management, with at least 2-3 years in leading projects independently.
  • Desire to drive continuous improvements within a function
  • Experience working in the agile work environment 
  • Previous Retail systems and process experience will be a definite advantage

In this role, you will:

  • Work with the Planning leadership team in driving efficiency and improvement projects within the function
  • Define and document the scope, plan and execute projects and initiatives identified by senior management
  • Provide project leadership and expertise to Business and Operations stakeholders in driving projects
  • Discovery improvement opportunities within the operations team or processes and represent these to the senior management
  • Partner with a global business and operations team of experts and drive the implementation of solutions that will help the organization deliver incremental value to our customers 
  • Develop metrics and scorecards to provide visibility to the senior leadership team on the health of projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on driving local and global programs
