Day in the Life:

The Marketplace Operations Associate will be focused on the day to day performance and overall operations of Marketplace. In this role you must have the ability to multitask effectively, managing a large seller base and ensuring quick resolution to issues.

This position will report to the Manager of Marketplace Operations and will be a contributor to the overall Digital growth strategy.

This role will actively support our DE&I framework by identifying opportunities to increase and promote diversity in our teams, products and brands. They will lead with inclusion to nurture our OneTeam culture by removing barriers for our Associates and communities.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to overall operations by working on all of the seller portal configurations, seller onboarding & support, process optimization and support the overall team solving complex and minor problems
  • Supports the Seller Support Associate Manager, flexing in as needed to support seller onboarding and customer service issues between the seller and the customer and support policies around how the Contact Center will handle customer inquiries
  • Assists in the building of dashboards and reporting on KPIs for tracking marketplace performance followed by establishing a business review cadence that provides meaningful insights and opportunities. 
  • Partners with the finance team on seller operations.
  • Assists in the support of product performance through analytics, maximizing on site search, ratings and reviews, product display pages and other digital tools. Also identifies opportunities around product display page enrichment and optimization through the development of inspiring content such as videos and copy.  Understanding of HTML is an asset.
  • Understand the marketplace landscape by identifying opportunities within the assortment, site merchandising (taxonomy/refinements) and content through competitive analysis and market research. Partner with the ecomm merch team on leveraging these best practices.
  • Assists in the direction of any changes that impact sellers in regards to the marketplace taxonomy in addition to partnering with the ecomm merch team on providing insights and changes that are needed.
  • Assists with determining and managing delivery and return policies with sellers including but not limited to building policies around handling various seller scenarios such as when a customer returns a marketplace item into stores.
  • Assist in partnering with the Product Management team on business requirements and enhancements to build customer centric functionality and design that will allow customers to seamlessly find a mass range of products on the website.
  • Assist in partnering with the Finance team for seller payment, tax setup, maintenance, and reporting. 
  • Passionate about problem solving and getting into the details.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years eCommerce, merchandising or category management 
  • Experience in a third party marketplace offering environment/organization
  • Data-driven with a strength in analytics and structure
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate analyses at multiple levels
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and operating within a multi-channel/ multi-region brand environment
  • Excels in working alongside cross functional teams but is also self motivated and takes initiative in driving the business
