Day In The Life:

The Manager, Asset Protection will implement and execute programs, procedures, techniques, and equipment, which will ensure the safety and security of Distribution Centers (DC) associates and assets. They will proactively identify, investigate and report potential and actual exposure to loss of Company assets, oversee means to minimize risk, ensure compliance to Company policy and provide guidance to DC associates and leadership on detecting and preventing loss. 

This role will actively support our DE&I framework by identifying opportunities to increase and promote diversity in our teams, products and brands. They will lead with inclusion to nurture our OneTeam culture by removing barriers for our Associates and communities.

What You Will Do:

  • Actively assist in the co-ordination of the timely and accurate execution of all Asset Protection initiatives as per Company standards to reduce loss and mitigate risks
  • Effective use of corporate communication systems as a vehicle for Asset Protection initiatives.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration to meet objectives
  • Develop a rapport with both the internal and external customer
  • Management of the on-site Asset Protection team, providing coaching and direction, including the execution of hiring and training where required
  • Liaison with Executive Management teams
  • Conduct building audits to determine compliance with Asset Protection programs
  • Drive and monitor corporate programs
  • Excellent working knowledge of access control and of CCTV systems
  • Provides support and leadership within the department to internal and external business partners
  • Provides support, leadership, operational and developmental training to building associates and
  • departments where required in all areas of the DC
  • Physical security of company assets, building and property
  • Knowledge of company systems and procedural errors leading to shrinkage and actively work to reduce
  • Actively support the company’s Health and Safety programs
  • Use an analytical approach to developing action plans aimed at reducing loss
  • Demonstrate cooperation and fosters productivity within and beyond own team and department
  • Complete regular reviews of proprietary security (Asset Protection team) to ensure productivity
  • Conducts detailed advanced investigations on all issues including but not limited to Loss/theft; Workplace violence; Supply chain: courier/vendor; Workers compensation injuries
  • All other duties as assigned by management

What You Will Need:

  • 2+ years of experience working in Asset Protection/Loss Prevention
  • 2+ years of experience working in Supply Chain and or Logistics
  • Experience in driving successful Asset Protection/Loss Prevention, Shortage Control, Health & and fraud prevention programs
  • Self-motivated individual who can be successful in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with safety compliance and/or program administration.
  • Knowledge of CCOHS and other federal/provincial regulations and requirements.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems.
  • Proven ability to make good decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented.
  • Maintains confidentiality concerning all information and projects.
  • Values and exhibits the highest level of personal integrity.
  • Strong interview, interrogation and investigative skills required. W-Z training, CFI preferred.
  • Must have proficiency in and knowledge of computer software including Google Mail and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of and previous experience with Asset Protection/Loss Prevention technologies (including CCTV systems and exception reporting systems) is advantageous.
