Day in Life for Assistant planner:

The Assistant planner operates at a level higher than Inventory/Replenishment analysts. The AP role is to have a vision to truly assist/be accountable with rolled up inventory management responsibilities, receipt management, reporting, publishing periodic dashboards, planning and analysis. The position requires frequent communication with the merchant team, distribution centers, stores and Supply chain management teams.

Who You Are:

  • University or college degree or commensurate retail experience
  • Preferred 3-5 years related experience in a merchandise, planning and allocation capacity
  • Excellent in computer skills including MS Office,Microstrategy and Excel & Google Suites
  • Sense of urgency flexibility ability to multitask
  • Open to Learn as per business requirements
  • Detail oriented
  • Good organizational skills

What you will do as the Assistant planner:

Channel Management:

  • DIGITAL : Build OTB plan and manage the OTB for Digital
  • Brick and Motor: Build OTB plan and manage the OTB for stores

Allocation Reviews:

  • Own pre and in season allocation calls to examine the opportunity and highlight the sale to stock gaps
  • Own and lead monthly review on sales performance & plan

Planning Functions:

  • Own and lead forecasting, budget building, Topside, SFE and Location Plans
  • Lead and publish in-season exposure to business and vendor meetings.
  • Review and lead POS price/ exit programs Optimization requirements
  • Provide insights to help with store clustering, to manage store location plans and brand X-sheet

DCM Reviews:

  • Review AR performance with planning offices on a monthly basis
  • Lead vendor forecast and provide guidance for DC rebuys
  • AR rationalization

PO TRACKING/RECEIPT MANAGEMENT:

  • Rollup Receipts allocations to manage receipts by store
  • Lead Replenishment Strategy
  • Lead Seasonal/brand launch tracking
  • Own and lead DC to Store PO tracking and follow up with vendor & SC

ANALYTICS:

  • Build and publish stock to sales analysis.
  • Publish seasonal post mortem analysis & recommendations using Micro strategy
  • Review and publish Prototype/unit capacity and suggestions
  • Review and publish top door analysis by brand
  • Review and publish overall inventory productivity analysis and optimal inventory for events.

STORES/DC FACING:

  • Own and highlight central stock requirements / DC excess statuses
  • Own and publish planogram and space management – vendor/stores
  • Own and highlights transfers/ in season movements/ RTV requirements
